Knowledge transmitters and their vision of a Knowledge society[Essay] by Diane de Zélicourt

2009-11-07

Diane was part of the “Alternative Management” third year program in HEC in 2008/2009. Interested in energetic efficiency in the building field.

An attempt to study the model of the knowledge society reveals that the model implies fundamental contradictions with the economic model prevailing today: capitalism, consumer society and competition. However, some more or less recent initiatives have already proved that the idea of free access to knowledge is not absurd. The goal of this essay is to examine the individuals who propose such a vision, their idea of what knowledge is, and the lessons we can learn from them to build a more sustainable society.
