Domitille de la Morinerie graduated from the ESCP in 2011 and was part of the "Alternative Management" third year program in HEC. She also holds a Master's degree from the University of La Sorbonne, in urban and territorial planning. She is very interested in the current urban stakes and issues and in the economic development of territories.

Mike Davis is a sociologist specialized in urban issues. In this book, he participates in a debate: is Dubaï a perfect symbol of success and prosperity or an example of western decadentism? He analyses the political and economical system that organizes the city and demonstrates its faults. He shows that the perfect achievement of free trade system, without public intervention, is not acceptable.
