The author was part of the “Alternative Management” third year program in HEC in 2010.

Corporate Volonteerism is an innovative patronage policy. Instead of giving financial help to philanthropic projects, companies lend out their employees skills to non profit organizations. Though it is usually considered as a Corporate Social Responsibility practice, corporate volunteerism obviously relates to Human Resources as employees volunteer during their work-hours. However, links between Corporate Volunteerism and Human Resources are complex and interesting to study from the perspective of the meaning of work.
