Al Amana, critical analysis of a Moroccan microfinance initiative[Research paper] by Yazid Arifi

2013-03-24

The author is a student in the Alternative Management third year specialization program, in HEC.

Al Amana is a Moroc-credit association created in 1997. Over the past years, it has grown into a major actor of microfinance, in Morocco and worldwide as well. Considering its success (which led major institutions such as Agence Française de Développement and USAID to grant it financial help), it seems opportune to question the actual impact of this association’s struggle in the fight against poverty, exclusion and unemployment in this developing country.
