The author, who graduated in Applied Economics from the Paris Dauphine University , is a student in the Alternative Management Major third-year specialization program, in HEC. She is also involved in the voluntary sector, as treasurer of the Pro Bono Lab association and as co-founder of Kaléos, an organic and fair trade coffee and cocoa company.

Founded in 1995 by the Bangladeshi Iftekhar Enayetullah and Maqsood Sinha, Waste Concern is an NGO, which is dedicated to improving waste recycling in Dhaka through waste recovery and its transformation into compost.
