Danone economic and social project - by Franck Riboud[Proceedings] by Franck Riboud

2008-01-28

Franck Riboud is Antoine Riboud's youngest son. He starts working for BSN in 1981, and takes the usual business track for a young executive in France, going from Controlling (Panzani) to Marketing (Danone, Evian) and Sales (Danone, l'Alsacienne). In 1996 he is appointed CEO of Danone group by the Board.

In 2005, Danone is the number one on the market of dairy products, bottled water, and number two on the market of biscuits and cereal-based products. At the same time as this economic boost, Danone develops sustainable projects. The most emblematic example nowadays is the Grameen Danone Foods Projects, launched in partnership with Grameen Bank, and helps the underpriviledged population in Bangladesh to develop. This Economic and Social Project has been maintained throughout Danone history, adapting to the changes on the scene of global economy; and have resulted in management style modifications. All these subjects are developed by Franck Riboud in this lecture.
