For several years, companies have been engaged in promoting diversity, introducing incentive measures to favour the recruitment and development of specific demographic categories, usually the disabled. People from deprived districts and the issue of their integration into society are a subject which appeared with much force during the riots of 2005. This research proposes to study internal and external principles created by companies to understand the issue of deprived districts, and to integrate into their strategy. It is based on an investigation held in five big companies, all engaged in the issue, but with very different economic and societal stakes.
