Reconnect - Fight against exclusion[Essay] by Marine Bikard

2011-06-09

Marine Bikard was part of the “Alternative Management” third year program in HEC in 2010. Having a passion for social sciences, she would like to use their methods and concepts to improve the action of companies.

Reconnect is an association whose mission is to fight against the exclusion of people in France thanks to the use of new information technologies. The idea came from a simple observation: social relations are a necessary condition to the social reinsertion. Nevertheless, social relations cannot exist in our modern society without the use of communication tools, beginning with phones. Reconnect’s main service is therefore to give access to a permanent phone number, which price would vary between zero or ten Euros per trimester.
