The Movement of Social Entrepreneurs: a new initiative of promotion and development of social entrepreneurship in France[Research paper] by Domitille Harb

Domitille Harb was part of the "Alternative Management" third year program in HEC in 2010

This dissertation aims at analyzing the conditions that fostered the creation of the « Movement of Social Entrepreneurs », which represents a new step in the promotion of social entrepreneurship in France. Why and how do people with different interests decide at a point in time to unite around a common goal and form a movement to promote social entrepreneurship? Despite the conflicts that tear up the Third Sector in France, what are the elements that enabled the federation of these actors within this movement? Beyond the interests it aspires to defend, does this movement which promotes a new vision of entrepreneurship represent a New Social Movement?
