The professional choice of creating a useful company - by Olivier Fleckinger[Proceedings] by Olivier Fleckinger

Olivier Fleckinger graduated from HEC in 2004.Two travels to India as well as varied jobs and internships in private companies made him want to take risks in his career, to create his own company, and distance himself from the professional world. Olivier Fleckinger created Alvarum after his first company did not meet any success. Alvarum offers to associations a professionalization – partly via the use of a new tool – of their fundraising activity.

This summary introduces the career pathway of Olivier Fleckinger, an HEC 2004 alumnus and co-founder of software company, whose aim is to help to raise funds for causes. Even if he doesn’t design himself as a “social entrepreneur”, we can grant him the title of “useful entrepreneur”. This seminar was the occasion to ask him why he chose such a career pathway.
